Monday, December 7, 2020

FORMAT: 18-hole net stroke play championship. There is no qualifying as all entries are on a first come, first served basis.  All players will be placed into a flight after entries close.

The championship field will be divided into flights based on handicap index. Contestants in all flights during the championship will use their playing handicap; 95% of their course handicap (new in 2020).

Flight handicap dispersal for the championship will be determined after the entry closing date. The SCGA Championship & Golf Operations Committee reserves the right to adjust a player’s course handicap at any time prior to or during the competition.

ELIGIBILITY: The net division is open to amateur men and women who are members of a current SCGA club with a current Handicap Index at the time of registration.  Club champions are invited to play in this 18-hole individual net stroke play tournament.  All skill levels will compete. (This may include players who do not meet the handicap requirements within the Women’s Championship Division / Men’s Championship Division / Senior Men’s Championship Division).  The club champion must be an amateur golfer with a valid Handicap Index who was listed on the club’s active GHIN roster at the time they won the championship as well as at the time of registration.

Each club may submit up to 2 entries into the net division if they meet all eligibility requirements listed above.

If the club champion(s) is not available to play in this event, we regret that no substitution(s) may be made (this includes runners-up).  All entrants must be a member of a club that has a handicap chairperson who has successfully completed the SCGA’s certified Handicap Chair program within the last four years.

NOTE:  If a 2020 Club Championship was not conducted, the 2019 Club Champion may represent their Golf Club as the current champion.
